Guided Meditation for Beginners

     I've said it before and I will say it again: meditation is amazing! It has so many freakin' benefits! But where do you begin? That is a common question amongst beginners. I've heard people say time and time again that they don't know how to meditate, or that their attention span isn't great enough for meditation.

     Well, I decided to create a meditation for beginners! It's only about 6 minutes long - I did that on purpose.  I remember when I first started meditating; I had such a hard time letting go of the laundry list of thoughts that kept running around in my head. And this meditation focuses on the breath. By doing such a thing, it allows the listener, you, to help get centered, grounded, and calm. By focusing on the breath you will be able to divert your attention to where it needs to be: on and within you. So, please take a moment and listen to this meditation. Side Effects of a Spiritual Clearing

     Spiritual clearings are awesome. They help get rid of the old and unnecessary so that the new can come in.  Most clearings are done energetically, with intention and sage.  And if you have the assistance of another healer, or Shaman, then the clearing and its effects will be that much more powerful.
     I had such a clearing last Thursday morning. My friend, Kathy Folsom of Readings, Reiki & Rocks, is a practicing Shaman (a Native American healer). I went to her for a healing - I wanted help in getting rid of the attachment that I had to an ex-boyfriend.  As it turns out, I had an abandonment issue that stemmed from another lifetime.  She brought me back to this other lifetime (I'm not quite sure the dates) and helped me connect to an old part of my Soul. It was enlightening and liberating.  She wafted sage and the sounds of drums and maracas over me. At the end she mentioned that some people come down sick after such a clearing. I was hoping this wasn't going to happen to me, but alas, it had. I woke up Friday morning feeling off; feeling like I caught a cold.
     Ugh.
     It is now Tuesday and the effects of the cold has taken its toll. I know this is part of the clearing process. It's completely shredding and shedding what I no longer need within my Soul. I have to admit, I am already losing patience. Haha. As a business owner, I have certain responsibilities. I can only do so much when I am not feeling well. I hope this cold goes away swiftly, preferably by the end of this week.
     I am by no means putting the intention out there that spiritual clearings are bad and that they will always make you come down sick afterward. No, that isn't true at all. In fact, spiritual clearings (or cleansing) are magnificent. The side effects are different for every one. Some people don't experience side effects at all. That has never been the case with me - I always experienced something afterwards. I know that once this cold does go away, I will feel ten times, no, 100 times, better. And I look forward to the day when I can wake up and breathe normally through both of my nostrils.

Guided Meditation for Full Body Relaxation and Stress Relief

    




     I love meditating. It's calming. It's relaxing. It's rejuvenating. It's clarifying. And it's also difficult to do at times.

     Honestly, I sometimes don't have the time to do it. But when I do, I go full out. I will find one that feeds and nourishes my soul; one that hits me right at my core, and makes me feel more at peace with myself and my life.
     Because of my love of meditation, I decided to create one (or more! - I have created more and are putting each one together as I find the time to do so) that would help provide relaxation to others. We suffer from stress every day; whether it's physical, mental, emotional, and even spiritual. So, why not have something to listen to that would allow us to feel relaxed throughout our entire being? All I want is for each one of us to experience peace within our mind, body, and spirit. That's not too much to ask for, right?
     I didn't think so.

Burn Those Intentions to Manifest

     "What you think, you become." 
--a paraphrase from one of Buddha's teachings.

     It's true. People have the power to control their minds and their lives. And sometimes those lives can change in an instant, especially depending upon what you're thinking about. When you focus on the negative and what you don't want to happen, the negative and your "undesires" are always what happens.  Same goes for positivity and all things good. If you think it, it will manifest.

     The same can be said when you write things down. In fact, the chances of manifestation are increased exponentially once it is written down. There is something that happens energetically on a global scale that puts things in motion.

     For the past few months, I (as well as some of my clients) have written down things I've (we've) been wanting to let go of and release, so that I (we) can allow the new to come in. It's been a wonderful journey thus far. I've noticed some changes already, and I am constantly wishing for more to happen. Well, I expect miracles to occur rather soon. A short while ago I decided to burn all of my releasements. The act of burning tells the Universe that you're ready to let go of the old and whatever else you don't need, so that the magic can happen! And boy, I cannot wait for more magic to happen!

Better Health is at Your Fingertips, Literally!

     So, cold and flu season is still upon us. Ugh. Thankfully (knock on wood) I have yet to experience any cold-like symptoms this season.  I, however, have worked on several clients who have been experiencing cold-like symptoms (If you've got flu-like symptoms, stay home!).

     During their massage treatments I have trigger sinus pressure points to help reduce inflammation and open up their sinus passageways.  This will allow any excess mucus to flow through and out of your body.  Triggering these sinus points is something you can do from the comfort of your own home.  I decided to make a little video of it to show you how you can help yourself!
