Message for Today - Relationship Harmony

I have such a busy day today! (Thank you, Universe for that!) But, so I don't have enough time to post those 3 cards/messages at the end of the day like I normally do, so I thought I would just pull one card for today. Everyone gets the "same" message, but be sure to take a look at the card because even though the card is a simple one, there's a lot more to the details of it than you may think. So, your message may actually not be the "same" as everyone else's.
Relationship Harmony by Archangel Raguel

He just wants everyone to be happy. And why shouldn't he? Why shouldn't you want the same thing? In the background as I type this, I am listening to "Highway Don't Care" by Tim McGraw. And the lyrics, "I can't live without you, I can't live without you baby" are repeating itself. Being with the one you love should make you happy. And the lyrics feel quite fitting for this post actually. Maybe you have been experiencing some relationship troubles. Maybe you and your partner have been disagreeing, not seeing eye to eye, not communicating well, etc. Archangel Raguel wants to help! And please let him. It's hard sometimes to just let go and allow the Universe, guides, angels, Spirit to help us out. We are so busy trying to maintain control that we forget there's a whole other side to life trying to work things out for us. We just have to let go and trust that everything will work out. If you think about it, it usually does anyways. And to trust is a very hard thing to do. (For me, it's a work in progress lol). The torch he is holding represents light. He is "shedding light" on the situation. And the rainbow in the background represents a happy outcome. Coincidentally, I am wearing rainbow-colored earrings from Hawaii. (Specifically made in Maui. I have yet to go there; I have only been to Oahu. It's on my bucket list!) And I feel the flowers he is holding is a gift. You will be receiving something you've wanted really soon. Maybe for Christmas? That'd also be quite fitting! Haha. And of course, if you're not in a relationship this message can also be applied to the relationships you do have with your friends, family, co-workers, etc. It's just a simple message of everything working itself out. There's harmony right around the corner.

Card of the Day:

Sometimes we feel unsure of ourselves. And that's okay. Everyone has their moments, but don't let your flaws and insecurities go to your head and get the better of you. You're not "perfect". Or, maybe you are. I put that word in quotes because I find a lot of people striving to be "perfect". Well, what's your definition of perfect? I don't have my own definition of it, because it changes with any given situation. Perfection is very subjective. It's what you make it to be. But in order to be perfect, you first need to accept all of you; every single part of you -- the good and the bad. And you shouldn't let another person or situation dictate how "perfect" you should be. You can only be you, no one else. Besides, why would you want to be anyone else anyways? That doesn't seem fun. Originals are better. They're always worth more.

Natural Living Expo

This past weekend I, Marisa, Jill, and Ilisa promoted The Sacred Self at the Natural Living Expo in Marlborough.  It is one of New England's largest expos.  We were among 225 other vendors, and let me just say that the energy in the hall was amazing! It was so high and so unbelievably uplifting; everyone in there came out buzzing!

We met a lot of great people and were able to provide them with mini Chair Massage, Reiki treatments, and Psychic Readings.  The feedback we received was positive, and we can't wait to do it again next year.  In fact, I already sent out the application for next November.  And I plan on being at this event every year for years to come.

If you were unable to be there this year, you have to go next year.  Aside from my company being there, you will meet so many other vendors/exhibitors offering all sorts of holistic products and valuable information.  You'll even get the chance to sit in on a meditation or talk held by some of the speakers.  Even if it seems like it's a far drive, trust me, it's worth it.  :)

Today's Oracle 10/17/2013

I decided to be all carefree and fun today, so I used Doreen Virtue's Mermaids and Dolphins oracle deck.  This deck provides keen answers to life's everyday questions using a lighthearted approach.  And because I felt like being "light" today, this deck seemed most appropriate.

I asked many of my clients and readers to choose between 4 cards, so they could either pick 1, 2, 3, or 4 for their message today.
And if they really wanted they could always ask their angels and guides for a past, present, future message. The fourth card would be a bonus!

These are the four cards I pulled.  Their messages are listed below them.

Card 1: Waves of Prosperity - "New abundance and exciting opportunities wash over you now ." This most definitely corresponds to the card I pulled on Tuesday about finances turning around.  And that's because this wave of prosperity is going to be around for a little while.  Expect things to pick up, especially at work.  Maybe you've been overdue for a raise, or maybe you've been waiting for a check to come in for a while now.  Well, the time is here! Over the next few weeks expect to see some more money around you.  And be grateful and give thanks to the universe each time this happens.  The law of attraction is definitely on your side right now, so the more grateful you are for it the more you will end up receiving! And while you're at it keep telling yourself that you're wealthy, even if you feel you are not.  Bringing that positive energy to your life will only attract more of it.

Card 2: Treasure Chest - "An unforeseen windfall of new abundance comes to you now!"
Okay, I told you this whole wave of prosperity thing was going to last at least a few weeks.  This card just confirms it! Aside from the monetary aspect of this, I also feel that someone close to you is going to be sharing a powerful secret with you.  Treasure it.  Literally.  Put it in a treasure chest and lock it away.  This information will be useful later on, but for now be happy that they're sharing a piece of themselves with you.  It's not everyday that someone can open themselves up, be vulnerable.  It takes a lot of guts and should not be overlooked.

Card 3: Empowerment - "You're more powerful than you realize.  It's safe for you to be powerful!"
Stay true to yourself.  I am going to relate this to the previous two cards.  If you do come into a huge windfall (think lottery) a lot of people are going to be coming out of the woodwork acting like they're your friends.  Try your hardest not to get caught up in this.  You will have all the support you need around you, from those who are most near and dear to your heart.  On a side note: if you are thinking about starting a business now is a good time to take action.  You are powerful! You can get a lot done in a short amount of time.  Start planning now.  Start taking those steps now.

Card 4: Self-Forgiveness - "Let go of old guilt, and remember that you're God's perfect child!"
Don't worry about what anyone else thinks of you.  Whatever the situation is, it's their problem not yours.  I also feel like this card is calling you to receive some healing.  It can be in any form.  Maybe you need a night out dancing and drinking, or maybe you need to pamper yourself and get a mani/pedi and a massage, or maybe you need a long stroll through the woods.  Whatever it is, go do something that will help clear your mind and bring more peace to your soul.  These next few weeks are going to be a little hectic, so take some time out for yourself and you will make it through to Thanksgiving with no issues.

Suffering from Arthritis? Get a Massage!

As alternative therapies for arthritis are becoming more popular, people with arthritis are turning to massage to address both the pain and stiffness of their condition and their general well-being.  Perhaps you haven’t tried massage yet because you don’t know what to expect, are not sure that massage is a good idea for your joint pain and inflammation, or don’t know where to find a good massage therapist.  Well, to get you acquainted with its benefits towards arthritis, let’s first discuss what massage is.

Massage is one of the oldest healing arts. The ancient Chinese, Egyptians, and Greeks are all known to have practiced it. Massage became accepted in the United States in the mid-1800’s, only to wane in the following century and not revive until the 1960’s and 1970’s.  Today, there are well over 100,000 massage therapists at work in the United States. They practice massage in many settings, from hospitals to health clubs to private studios.  In massage, a trained professional known as a massage therapist presses, rubs, strokes, kneads, and otherwise manipulates the muscles and soft tissues of your body.  People go to them for many different reasons: to ease pain, to rehabilitate from injury, to reduce stress, to ease anxiety and depression, and to improve general well-being.

While there are more than 250 varieties of massage techniques, many practitioners use a form of Swedish massage, which employs long, flowing strokes meant to be calming and relaxing.  As your body becomes relaxed, the massage therapist can also apply focused pressure to relieve areas of muscular tension.  Other popular forms of massage include deep tissue massage, which features strong pressure on deeper layers of tissue, and myofascial release, in which long, stretching strokes release tension in the fascia (the connective tissue around the muscles).  There are also the Asian techniques of acupressure and shiatsu, which use finger pressure on specific points on the body, and the technique called reflexology, which holds that rubbing certain points on the feet, hands, or ears has a positive effect on various body parts.

So, what can it do for arthritis? As it turns out, a lot! Massage carries numerous benefits.  It can aid in relaxation, which in itself promotes healing and reduces stress. It can also reduce pain, improve joint movement, relax tense muscles, and stimulate blood flow.  For people with arthritis it should be used in conjunction with (and not to replace) other regular medical treatment such as pain medicine or physical therapy.

The biggest benefit is relaxation.  It should bring a sense of well-being to the body.  Massage triggers the body’s parasympathetic nervous system, which encourages the body’s restorative processes — muscle tension is improved, the heart rate slows, and the fight-or-flight response is reversed.  Massage is also thought to encourage the flow of lymph in the body. (Lymph is a fluid that circulates throughout the body; the cells in lymph help fight infection and disease.) Massage can also increase the flow of blood. However, exercise actually has a greater effect on increasing circulation than massage does. And during a relaxing massage, local circulation may increase, but systemic circulation actually slows down, as evidenced by lowered blood pressure, decreased body temperature, and slower breathing. This explains why many people actually become cooler during massage.

In a study done by the American Massage Therapy Association, 93% of people who tried massage felt it was effective for pain relief.  Researchers speculate that massage encourages the release of pain-relieving hormones or that massage may block pain signals that are sent to the brain.  Through direct pressure, massage affects the muscles and connective tissues in the body, increasing mobility.  Especially for people with arthritis, this can help increase the range of motion in the joints and lessen stiffness in the muscles, tendons, and ligaments.  Massage’s psychological benefits are well documented. Massage can alter mood, alleviating anxiety and depression and enhancing feelings of well-being and safety. Many people turn to massage for just this reason.

Talk with your doctor about getting a massage.  There are some conditions that may be too severe for massage.  And once you have cleared your decision with your doctor, you should choose the massage therapist that feels right for you.  You may prefer male, or even female, but always make sure they are either nationally certified or properly licensed.
